Drums crafted from horse hide possess a unique essence unmatched by others. I am uncertain whether it's the horse's strong sense of duty or its sheer power that imparts this quality, but there a holding horse Drums that feel unique to them.
The drum ' Union' carries a profoundly beautiful presence.
When I crafted this drum, it cradled my heart with the tenderest embrace of pure love. Usually, when I create drums for others, I feel as though I am in service to the drum. Yet, with this one, it was as if the drum served me, touching my deepest wounds and offering its boundless love. I believe this enchantment will extend to its future guardian and all who are privileged to feel its vibrations.
In Celtic traditions, horses were revered as sacred beings that could bridge the connection between humans and the spirit world. The mythology of these lands is rich with tales of horses, and nothing pleases me more than to wander the deepest Welsh mountains, observing the wild horses that roam freely. Their untamed spirit echoes through the land.
For me, the horse embodies strength, power, and determination, coupled with freedom, confidence, and grace. They navigate the balance between service and independence, aiding us in overcoming obstacles and advancing on our path.
This drum is mounted on a beautiful 16-inch Willow Hoop. The willow tree spiritually signifies growth, resilience, emotional healing, and feminine energy. It represents adaptability, the capacity to endure challenging situations, and is often seen as a harbinger of good fortune, hope, and protection.
In this drum, there is a harmonious blend of masculine and feminine energies.
Horse drums are big drums for big work - the question to hold in your heart is are you ready to step in.
All my drums are birthed in deep ceremony and are cleansed with beloved plant kin, harvested from my lands.
