As we navigate life's pathways, we all forget parts of ourselves or leave pieces of our truth behind. Sometimes this is caused by something that makes us step out of our skin, or it is in way that we find we have to relinquish our authenticity to fit into societal expectations. This rattle has been birthed to help reclaim all those bits of us that have been lost or forgotten. It features a hand-painted badger, gazing at a fragment of itself hanging from the crescent moon. The bone used is a vertebra from a badger's spine.
Badgers symbolize cleverness, tenacity, security, friendship, gratitude, and endurance. They connect the past and future while keeping a presence in the now. They embody freedom, wisdom, clarity of thought, protection, contentment, and justice.
Contained within are red carnelian, clear quartz, and fox cub bones. Red carnelian, known as the Artist's stone, fosters empowerment, self-confidence, passion, and creativity, inviting new wonders and magic into life. Folklore suggests that ancient Byzantine and Assyrian cultures used this vibrant stone to instil courage in battle and boldness in public speaking.
Carnelian's red and orange hues are said to symbolize the fertile blood of Isis, the goddess of motherhood, magic, fertility, death, healing, and rebirth.
The inclusion of fox cub bones ensures that this beautiful little being who wandered these lands for such a brief time will not be 'Forgotten'. With them they impart wisdom, cunningness, adaptability, and protection, serving as a faithful guide on the spiritual journey, teaching quick thinking, strategy, and instinctual trust. The fox also signifies transformation and shapeshifting.
All held in a sublime Reindeer hide – the path finder, who will help us find our way to back what has been forgotten, whilst the applewood stick will hold everything we discover in gentle arms of love.
