How to Work One-to-One With Me

Days in the Work - One-to-One Time on the Land

Most of what shapes my life now was not learned sitting in rooms talking. It was learned with deer hides in my hands, walking the land, crafting, writing, listening. It came through the body, through repetition, through long periods of not knowing and staying anyway. Through paying attention to what is here, rather than trying to reach for something elsewhere.

For a long time I stepped away from offering one-to-one work. The truth is that the understanding shaping my life now does not come from sitting across from someone analysing things or trying to figure them out. It comes from being in the work itself. From being in relationship with the land, with materials, with the body, and with the quieter, deeper currents that move underneath all of that.

And yet, I kept hearing from people who felt drawn to spend time in this space. Often people who have already been through something of an initiation in their own lives , sometimes rough, sometimes beautiful, often both, and who can feel that something has shifted, but don’t quite know how to meet what comes next. People who are not necessarily looking for answers, but for a way of being with what is unfolding that feels more real, more honest, more grounded in the body.

I knew that if I opened one-to-one time again, it needs to happen differently, not sitting across from each other talking, but alongside the work.

So here is what I offer.

You might join me while I am preparing hides, crafting, walking the land, or tending the practical tasks that shape this life. We move side by side rather than face to face. Conversation is welcome, and you are free to bring something specific that you want to explore, a question, a transition, something that feels unclear or unresolved , but we meet it within the rhythm of what we are doing, not outside of it.

What I have found is that when the hands are engaged, something loosens. The mind is no longer at the centre, and a different kind of understanding begins to arrive. Not something forced or constructed, but something that comes through the body, through attention, through being here. Clarity, healing, remembering - these rarely come from analysing things directly. They come sideways, through doing, through contact, through allowing something to unfold at its own pace.

I don’t approach this as a coach or therapist. What I offer comes from lived experience, from years of working with hides, with craft, with land, and from a way of listening that has been shaped outside of formal structures. From myth, from instinct, from the body, from staying with things long enough that they begin to speak in their own language.

At times I may reflect something back to you, or offer a perspective, or name what I am sensing. But it does not come from a fixed method or a position of authority. It comes through relationship, to the moment, to the work, and to you.

You might think of this as time with an elder. Not in the sense of hierarchy, but in the sense of being with someone who has walked a path and can sit beside you as you find your own way through yours. There is no fixing here, no prescribed outcome, no pressure to arrive anywhere in particular. Only space, attention, and a different way of coming into relationship with what is already moving in your life.

These sessions are offered as half-day immersions, usually around three hours, and take place on the land within the natural rhythm of the work. Each day is different. What we do will depend on what is alive here at the time, and what is asking to be met through you.

They are offered on a reciprocity-based sliding scale of £75–£250. I trust you to choose a level that reflects both your financial reality and the value of this time to you. After you book your space you please contact me to arrange payment.

I will open a small number of these spaces as and when it feels aligned with the work and the season. When they are available, I will share them quietly, you can find then on my bookings page or through my social media , i normally share them on a Sunday when I understand what my rhythms of the week are.

If you feel the pull to step into this, to spend time inside the work rather than speaking about it from the outside, you are welcome to reach out.

And if you are wanting to step into a longer 1:1 Container with me you can do this by either joining me for
