Soil.Skin.Bone

A home for the wild body, the mythic soul, and the ancestral remembering

I’m Louise — the dreamer and weaver behind Weaving Wonderment ( Soil.Skin.Bone)— and the creature behind Animal Body, a body of work that has slowly emerged through years of listening to land, death, dream, and bone.

I am a Death Doula, Grief Tender, and Gate Keeper.
An Animist and a Hedgewitch, Drum Maker and Craftswomen
A Creatrix of thresholds and a faithful companion to the unseen.

I work in the edge-places , the liminal zones between human and non-human, spirit and matter, life and death, where the old rites still hum beneath the surface and where the wild body remembers what it was never meant to forget.

For ease, I sometimes call myself a Shamanic Practitioner. But my craft is of this land — of the moss and the stone, the red kite’s cry and the mycelial web beneath our feet. I walk as Cunning Folk, woven with all that lives here beside me. My essence is love. And at the threshold — where love meets grief, where skin meets soil — that is where the magic lives.

The Animal Body

Animal Body is the central thread now running through all my work — an immersive return to the wild intelligence of the body, shaped by movement, myth, ritual, and mask. It is both a personal reclamation and a communal remembering.

This work has been gestating for years, nourished by dream-tracking, deep embodiment, grief rituals, and the whispers of this land I call home — a hidden valley on the borderlands of Herefordshire and Wales. The River Teme runs through the gorge behind me, deer walk my pathway, and owls keep vigil at the gate.

Here, at the edge of the wood, I have been unweaving and reweaving my own life. Composting the old stories. Remembering who I am beneath the forgetting. And slowly, Animal Body took form — a practice, a map, a call.

This work is for those ready to come back into their skin.
Back into the land.
Back into wild kinship and the rites that once tethered us to something greater.

if you are ready to come back to the wild body. Remember your creature-self.
